چکیده
Tillage system is one of the main factors influencing growth and physiology wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), that eventually translates to high yield good kernel quality. The objectives this study were determine effects ridge (RT) flat tillage (FT) systems on (i) production spring wheat, (ii) root (iii) soil physical properties. Trials conducted at Kenya Agricultural Livestock Research Organization, Njoro Egerton University. A randomized complete block design (RCBD) in a split plot arrangement with as cultivar sub-plot was used study. Data analysis done using PROC GLM procedure from SAS software version 9.4. showed length, surface area volume 34.66, 42.17 47.56% higher RT than FT, respectively. had 8, 7.66, 39.19 20% NDVI, TKW, HI, FT. Soil moisture electrical conductivity 38.43 9.02% temperature BD 1.05 38.94% FT RT. provided conducive environment for physiology, resulting Key words: Wheat, ridge-furrow, flat-tillage, grain yield.

Vernalisation Response of Some Winter Wheat Cultivars (Triticum aestivum L.)
For 17 cultivars of winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) different vernalisation and photoperiod responses were detected. The effect of photoperiod sensitivity was not significantly changed by vernalisation; different vernalisation responses were probably due to the presence of multiple alleles at Vrn loci. The delay in heading depended on the vernalisation deficit exponentially: y = parameter (...
متن کاملResponse of Spring Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Quality Traits and Yield to Sowing Date
The unpredictability and large fluctuation of the climatic conditions in rainfed regions do affect spring wheat yield and grain quality. These variations offer the opportunity for the production of better quality wheat. The effect of variable years, locations and sowing managements on wheat grain yield and quality was studied through field experiments using three genotypes, three locations for ...
متن کاملLeaf Anatomical Characters in Relation to Grain Yield of Wheat (triticum Aestivum L.) Cultivars
An experiment was carried out to study the variability of leaf anatomical characters of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivars and their association with grain yields. Results indicated that in most of the cases cultivar differences were significant. In respect of 6th leaf anatomical characters, simple correlation coefficients indicated that most of the leaf anatomical traits had significant ne...
متن کاملThe wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) leaf proteome.
The wheat leaf proteome was mapped and partially characterized to function as a comparative template for future wheat research. In total, 404 proteins were visualized, and 277 of these were selected for analysis based on reproducibility and relative quantity. Using a combination of protein and expressed sequence tag database searching, 142 proteins were putatively identified with an identificat...
متن کاملTHE RESPONSE OF FOLIAR PROTEINS IN TWO WHEAT (TRITICUM AESTIVUM) CULTIVARS TO SALT STRESS
Effect of various NaCl treatments (0, 50, 100, 200, and 300 mM) at different growth and development stages (tillering, boot swellen, flowering and anthesis) in two wheat cultivars (Ghods: salt – sensitive, Boolani: salt – resistant) on SDS-PAGE electrophoretic pattern of leaf proteins was studied under greenhouse conditions. Generally, in response to salinity treatments, the decrease in protein...
